The year of 2016 means many things. First, I will be 30 years old this year! Which, to me is a big deal. Also, I am on a personal journey to be healthier this year. With a hectic schedule it is not always easy to have the healthiest foods to eat right when you need them. I now meal prep, cut out soda, fast food and junk food at restaurants. I am eating only whole foods and trying to exercise when I can. With these changes, I have already lost over 10 pounds since the first of the year and dropped a pant size! (Go me!)
The other thing that 2016 means is personal growth and development. I do not believe that it is good to get stagnant or to feel content with motionlessness. Give me new. Give me something to learn. Give me something to develop. Because of this drive, I am on the journey to get my broker's license.
For those that are not eye-deep in real estate lingo, that is one giant step above a real estate salesperson's license. This means many, many more classes that are always a road trip away, hotel stays, time away from kids and family and work, time spent studying, and more testing. With the pace I am going, I am on the fast-track to getting it accomplished and walking away with a new license soon.
Having this new license means greater responsibility at Morse Real Estate. I will be held to a higher standard and inevitably will have more opportunities in the future to train and mentor agents, develop programs and obviously provide a higher level of care to clients and customers. So far this year is shining brightly.
I am interested in hearing about your goals for the year. What are your aspirations and how will you achieve them?
UPDATE!!! June 26, 2016
As of April I am officially licensed as a broker! I am thrilled beyond belief! I just happened to check online to see if my license had been updated and couldn't believe my eyes! I spoke to the licensing specialist at the real estate commission office and she said that no one had ever received their broker's license so fast!
I immediately called my brother and we geeked out over the phone together only as two close siblings in the same career field can.
I am so excited and proud, not only for myself but for Morse Real Estate and for our future!
