Really Bad Listing Photos

You've done it. You have finally made the decision to list your home for sale. So what next? You ask your coworker who their aunt used as a Realtor that 'one time' she sold her house. You get their information, give them a call and they come over to your house and immediately whip out their cell phone and take pictures of every room. PERFECT, right? -NO- Let's take a look at some photos from agents that would prefer quantity over quality listings: Bad Example #1: The wrong angle. Not to mention pet bowls, no place to sit, clutter and bad lighting.

Bad Example #2: It is a toilet. Everyone has one but no one wants to look at one, especially with the seat up and no paper on the roll.

Bad Example #3: Wrong lens type. Does this make you feel like you are entering warp speed? It does to me.

Bad Example #4: Trashy light. Is that a banana peel? What do you think?

Bad Example #5: Throw pillows. They aren't just for couches...I wonder what they are covering up. - And so does every buyer who looks at this photo.

Bad Example #6: Down on the ground. I am trying to envision the real estate agent physically on the ground for this shot, and for what? Maybe they thought they were supposed to sell the furniture.

Bad Example #7: Million dollar listing. That is right! This the very first photo on a million dollar listing. I did not upload this sideways, folks. This is how it appeared on the listing of a MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE!

Bad Example #8: Snakes in a house. I can't think of anything less inviting to potential buyers than the thought of entering their new home were snakes have slithered on every surface. YIKES!!

My brother and I have this thing where we will send BAD real estate listing photos to each other in the morning. They are a huge pet peeve to us and it replaces the need for that extra cup of coffee.

Don't work with an agent that won't take their time to educate and coach you on how to best sell your home for the most money! Hire one that cares, like me!
